Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan, Yao Jing, has expressed his belief in Pakistan's unrivaled potential as a pivotal hub for regional trade and connectivity. In an exclusive interview on Geo News' "Jirga" program, scheduled for Monday at 10 pm, Ambassador Yao, who previously served as China's envoy to Afghanistan, highlighted the profound interest among Afghan leaders and society in establishing not just motorway but also extensive railway connections with Pakistan.

He emphasized the substantial advantages of creating a railway link from Gwadar to Kandahar, underscoring its potential for enhancing trade and transportation. Yao expressed his elation regarding Pakistan's dedicated efforts to foster peace and stability in Afghanistan, as this would not only facilitate trade expansion into Central Asia but also promote access to new trade routes.

Ambassador Yao underscored the strategic significance of the development of Gwadar, as well as the ongoing progress at the ports of Karachi and Port Qasim, which collectively provide a beacon of hope for regional connectivity. Moreover, as an extension of the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) collaboration, he reaffirmed China's eagerness to explore additional avenues to harness this immense potential.
