In celebration of the 70th anniversary of Pakistan-China Diplomatic Relations, an online awards ceremony was hosted by the All Pakistan China Friendship Association, in collaboration with the Embassy of the People's Republic of China. The event honored students who participated in a painting competition centered on the theme "CPEC and Pakistan-China Friendship."

This creative contest allowed students from various schools to visually express their perspectives on the multifaceted friendship between Pakistan and China.

Madame Pang Chunxue, Minister of the Chinese Embassy, commended young Pakistanis for their vibrant illustrations of the enduring friendship between the two nations. She emphasized that these colorful paintings were a splendid addition to the celebration of 70 years of diplomatic relations and expressed optimism that increased cultural exchanges and cooperation would further elevate this friendship. Madame Pang also highlighted the pivotal role of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) in fostering people-to-people interactions and contributing to the Belt and Road Initiative's high-quality growth. CPEC's success has significantly bolstered Pakistan's socio-economic development and regional connectivity, thanks to the joint efforts of both countries.

Muhammad Ikhlaq Usmani, President of APCFA, noted that the commemorative art pieces had reignited the enthusiasm of Pakistani youth to advance the Pakistan-China friendship. He emphasized that CPEC symbolizes the mutual trust and confidence that both countries have in each other.

Mubashar Tauqir Shah, Additional Secretary of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, underscored that CPEC epitomizes the trusted friendship between Pakistan and China and represents a vote of confidence in Pakistan. It stands as a transformative initiative, yielding substantial socio-economic benefits for Pakistan.

Ambassador Naghmana Hashmi described the event as a splendid conclusion to the 70th anniversary celebrations of Pakistan-China ties. She lauded Pakistani students for their interpretations of CPEC, recognizing it as the flagship project of the Belt and Road Initiative and a vital contributor to the socio-economic development of the region and beyond. The students' colorful paintings depicted the enduring, all-weather friendship between the two countries and paid homage to the lasting bonds between Pakistan and China.

In closing, Farwa Zafar, General Secretary of APCFA, emphasized the importance of promoting collaboration through exchange programs and extending a warm welcome to Chinese students in Pakistan. This gesture further strengthens the deepening friendship between the two nations.
