Addressing students and faculty at Balochistan Residential College in Khuzdar, President Alvi recognized the immense potential of Balochistan's youth. He encouraged them to harness their talents and modernize their skill sets through knowledge and technology.
President Alvi urged the students to prioritize their studies and contribute to the country's development. He emphasized the government's dedication to rectifying the historical neglect of Balochistan's socio-economic growth.
Highlighting the pivotal role of education in uplifting the nation, President Alvi confirmed the government's commitment to bolstering the education sector.
Furthermore, President Alvi commended the government of Balochistan for establishing residential colleges in Khuzdar and Loralai. He expressed confidence that these institutions would significantly advance education in the province.
In a separate meeting at the National Skills University (NSU), President Alvi stressed the importance of skill development among the youth to meet the market's demands. He urged universities to increase the production of skilled graduates to cater to the growing job market.
Professor Dr. Muhammad Mukhtar, Vice-Chancellor of NSU, provided updates on the university's role in imparting skills across various domains. He also shared the progress made on decisions taken during the 2nd Senate meeting of NSU.
During the meeting, it was revealed that the Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan had granted NSU a No Objection Certificate (NOC) to launch classes in fields such as Electrical Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Civil Engineering Technology, Information Engineering Technology, Medical Lab Technology, and Mathematics. The meeting also ratified the minutes of the 2nd Senate meeting of NSU held on October 20, 2021.
