Gwadar Welcomes 17,000-Ton DAP Shipment, Transforming Local Cargo Handling

Special Assistant to the Prime Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Lt. Gen. (R) Asim Saleem Bajwa, announced a significant milestone today. A massive shipment of 17,000 tons of di-ammonium phosphate (DAP) has docked at the Gwadar port.

In a recent tweet, Asim Bajwa revealed that the transportation of DAP to Afghanistan is underway, utilizing a fleet of 550 trucks. What's particularly noteworthy is that 60% of this cargo will pass through the Chaman border crossing. This marks a historic moment, as it's the first time bulk cargo has been bagged locally, rather than at foreign ports. This shift has not only generated employment opportunities locally but has also given a boost to the transportation sector.
