One Belt, One Road: Pakistan’s Commitment to China’s Vision

Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Attaullah Tarar, has reaffirmed Pakistan’s unwavering commitment to strengthening ties with China and fully supporting the One Belt, One Road (OBOR) initiative.

Speaking at a ceremony in Islamabad celebrating the Chinese Lunar New Year and Spring Festival, he emphasized that the Pakistan-China friendship is deeper than the oceans, sweeter than honey, and taller than the Himalayas. He noted that the current government considers itself a custodian of this time-tested bond and is dedicated to passing it on to future generations.

Highlighting the significance of bilateral cooperation, the Minister stated that Pakistan’s economic progress is closely linked to OBOR. He acknowledged China’s consistent support for Pakistan in challenging times and reaffirmed Islamabad’s full endorsement of President Xi Jinping’s visionary initiative, which aims to enhance regional connectivity and economic growth.
