AI-Powered Agricultural Equipment to Boost Pakistan-China Ties

Pakistan and China have signed a landmark agreement to introduce Artificial Intelligence (AI)-based agricultural machinery in Pakistan. The Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) facilitated this MoU, aiming to enhance agricultural productivity with China's expertise.

The Punjab government and China's AI Force Tech have partnered to bring modern farming equipment, a milestone announced during Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz's visit to China. This collaboration seeks to revolutionize Pakistan’s agriculture sector through state-of-the-art robotic technologies, boosting economic growth and improving farmers' livelihoods.

In addition, the Federal Minister for Planning has announced the deployment of 1,000 agricultural experts to China to study modern farming techniques. The agreement also opens avenues for Pakistan to adopt China’s advanced agricultural practices.

During the visit, Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz signed another MoU with Hygea Medical Technologies to introduce cutting-edge cancer treatment technology to Punjab. The initiative will enable non-surgical and non-chemotherapy treatments at the Nawaz Sharif Cancer Hospital, ensuring world-class healthcare for cancer patients.

Maryam Nawaz's high-level delegation will visit key Chinese cities, including Beijing and Shanghai, from December 8 to 15. These engagements aim to strengthen bilateral ties and explore collaborations in agriculture, governance, technology, and infrastructure development.
