China’s $350 Million EV Investment to Revolutionize Pakistan’s Transport
Chinese company ADM Group has announced a groundbreaking $350 million investment in Pakistan, with strong backing from the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC). As part of this major initiative, ADM Group plans to deploy over 3,000 electric vehicle (EV) charging stations nationwide. The project will include the construction of 1,000 stations in Sindh, 1,500 in Punjab, and 750 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan.
Additionally, ADM Group will invest $250 million to set up an electric vehicle manufacturing plant in Pakistan. Another $90 million will be allocated towards developing the infrastructure needed for the charging stations. These new electric vehicles, which can travel up to 300 kilometers on a single charge, are expected to play a key role in reducing Pakistan's reliance on traditional fuel and decreasing carbon emissions.
