Moreover, Sana Durrani stressed the indispensable need for political stability and policy continuity, particularly concerning vital economic endeavors like the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).
She hailed CPEC as the flagship collaboration between China and Pakistan, emphasizing its substantial contributions to Pakistan's socioeconomic development and regional connectivity. Recent years had witnessed a substantial expansion of cooperation within the CPEC framework, with remarkable progress in green development, industrial expansion, IT advancement, and healthcare.
She revealed that the government had initiated a groundbreaking project aimed at uplifting the 20 most economically deprived districts in Pakistan, with a significant focus on 11 districts in Balochistan. Just two months ago, a transformative development endeavor worth Rs 40 billion was launched, targeting these underprivileged regions, including Sherani, Kohlu, Jhal Magsi, Barkhan, Killa Abdullah, Zhob, Musakhel, Dera Bugti, Jaffarabad, Ziarat, and Killa Saifullah.
Sana Durrani emphasized that this initiative marked a historic milestone in Pakistan's economic history, as the federal government was actively intervening on a national scale to bridge the economic disparities among the country's poorest districts.
She also shed light on the government's short-term economic agenda, encapsulated in the "5Es": Enterprise, Exports, Equity in society through bolstered healthcare and education, Empowerment of youth, Energy efficiency and conservation, and Environment and food security. These strategic pillars were aligned with the accelerated growth program, E-Pakistan, youth empowerment, energy sustainability, and environmental protection.
