Pakistan-China Strengthen All-Weather Strategic Partnership


Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar met China’s Executive Vice Premier Ding Xuexiang in Beijing on Sunday, with both sides reaffirming their commitment to enhancing the Pakistan–China all-weather strategic partnership.

According to the Foreign Office, the discussions focused on strengthening bilateral relations and exploring new avenues of cooperation. Vice Premier Ding commended Pakistan’s consistent support on China’s core interests, reflecting the depth of trust between the two nations.

The meeting also highlighted the upcoming 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations, with both leaders agreeing to leverage this milestone to create a forward-looking roadmap for cooperation, especially under the China–Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). Ding Xuexiang extended New Year greetings to Pakistan’s leadership and citizens.

Additionally, Dar met with Minister Liu Haixing of the International Department of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and congratulated him on the successful 4th Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee. Both sides expressed satisfaction with the steady trajectory of bilateral relations, reviewing party-to-party exchanges, regional developments, and progress on CPEC projects.

They agreed to commemorate the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations in a meaningful and befitting manner. Dar, visiting Beijing at the invitation of Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, was welcomed at the airport by China’s Special Representative on Afghanistan Ambassador Yue Xiaoyong, Pakistan’s ambassador to China, and other officials.
