On 12 September, the World Meets GZ – 2025 Pakistan Business and Investment Exchange Conference took place at the Guangzhou International Cooperation Center (GICC). The event focused on guiding Guangzhou-based companies on how to enter the Pakistani market, covering policy insights, project matchmaking, and localized service support.
Organised with the support of the Guangzhou Foreign Affairs Office, the conference was hosted by GICC in collaboration with the Consulate General of Pakistan in Guangzhou and the Pakistan Federal Board of Investment. The gathering brought together over 100 representatives from Chinese and Pakistani businesses and trade associations to foster dialogue and explore investment opportunities.
Speaking at the event, Sardar Muhammad, Consul General of Pakistan in Guangzhou, highlighted the government’s commitment to strengthening cooperation with China. He welcomed Chinese investments in sectors such as manufacturing, energy, and e-commerce. He further noted the growing interest of Pakistani entrepreneurs in Guangzhou, particularly in industries like home furnishings, IT, and new energy vehicles.
The B2B matchmaking session provided a platform for firms from both countries to discuss partnerships in diverse fields, including cross-border e-commerce, automobile production, pharmaceuticals, building materials, smart transport, education technology, agricultural preservation, and traditional Chinese medicine.
The conference concluded with a mango tasting and networking session, offering participants additional opportunities to build business ties and enhance cultural understanding.
