Pakistani and Chinese companies have signed 13 memorandums of understanding (MoUs) worth $250 million to strengthen collaboration in the animal fodder and food processing sectors. The agreements were finalized during a B2B matchmaking event held in Beijing, organized by the Pakistan Embassy in partnership with the Board of Investment (BOI).
This event, the third in a series of sector-specific meetings, provided an opportunity for over 150 in-person and virtual business engagements. The day-long event emphasized fostering joint ventures in key agricultural areas like animal fodder and fruits and vegetable processing.
Ambassador Khalil Hashmi, while witnessing the ceremony, stressed the strategic value of enhancing Pakistan-China trade relations, particularly in agriculture and food processing. He highlighted Pakistan’s robust agricultural potential as a leading producer of fruits, vegetables, and animal products.
The event showcased insightful presentations and networking opportunities, setting a foundation for long-term partnerships. It also reinforced Pakistan’s commitment to expanding trade ties with China, leveraging its abundant agricultural resources to drive economic growth.
