Strengthening cross-border industrial synergy through the new gateway initiative

Pakistan and China Launch Industrial Collaboration Hub

In a strategic effort to enhance bilateral industrial and economic cooperation, Precise Development (Hong Kong) Limited and The University of Lahore (UOL) have inaugurated the Pakistan-China Industrial Entrepreneur Bridge. This newly established Center of Excellence is designed to be a critical gateway for industries and business leaders from both Pakistan and China to connect, collaborate, and innovate.

The initiative promises to provide Pakistani industries with direct access to prominent Chinese trade and industry associations, including the All China Federation of Industry and Commerce (ACFIC), the Chamber of Commerce for High Technology and Equipment Industry, the New Energy Operations Committee of China, the Electricity Equipment Management Association, and the China Jinhua (Yiwu) Wenzhou General Chamber of Commerce.

The Entrepreneur Bridge aims to foster cross-border enterprise partnerships in vital sectors such as renewable energy, agriculture and agri-tech, mineral resources, healthcare, pharmaceuticals, vocational education, digital economy, cultural exchange, tourism, and creative industries.

The landmark agreement was signed by David Chu, CEO of Precise Development, and Awais Raoof, Chairman of the Board of Governors at UOL. The partnership is seen as a major advancement under the framework of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), further expanding trade, investment, and knowledge-sharing opportunities.

Khalid Taimur Akram, Director for the Eurasian Region at Precise Development, emphasized that this initiative will not only deepen industrial cooperation but also drive innovation, facilitate technology transfers, and pave the way for sustainable development between the two nations.

Additionally, a new Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was recently signed between the Hong Kong-based firm and Bank Makramah Limited, streamlining financial access for Chinese businesses operating in Pakistan.

In support of this initiative, a delegation of senior executives from over a dozen Chinese companies visited Islamabad between April 28 and May 4. These executives met with top government officials to explore joint ventures in sectors such as high-tech manufacturing, satellite communication, aviation, electronics, renewable energy, smart technology, and mining.

This ongoing collaboration marks a transformative step in economic integration and industrial growth between China and Pakistan.
