Under the directive of Saifullah Khetran, Director General of the Gwadar Development Authority (GDA), Chief Engineer Haji Syed Muhammad conducted a comprehensive inspection of key initiatives under the Old Town Revitalization Plan in Gwadar on Tuesday.
The inspection included vital community and infrastructure projects such as the Surag Dil Football Ground, Young Jan Futsal Ground, Government Girls High School, and Government Boys Model School. During his visit, the Chief Engineer carefully assessed the construction quality and overall progress at each site.
Emphasizing the urgency of completion, Haji Syed Muhammad directed engineers and contractors to accelerate the pace of work while strictly upholding quality standards. He reiterated that all revitalization projects must be delivered within the set deadlines to ensure timely benefits for the residents.
Following the site visits, a joint meeting was held at the Chief Engineer’s office with engineers and relevant stakeholders. The session focused on reviewing project milestones and addressing obstacles affecting the completion of development schemes.
Responding to community feedback, the Chief Engineer ordered immediate commencement of carpeting works on the stretch from Mulla Fazil Chowk to Makki Mosque and Club Road. Additional directives were issued to all concerned departments to adopt actionable strategies for overcoming civic challenges in the Old Town area.
These initiatives are a cornerstone of GDA’s broader mission to modernize Gwadar’s urban infrastructure while respecting its historical heritage and cultural identity.
