Chinese Delegation Explores Investment Potential in Gwadar

High-level discussions focus on CPEC Phase 2 and industrial collaboration to boost economic growth and job creation in Balochistan.


A prominent Chinese delegation, led by Wang Fukang from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China, visited Gwadar today to explore new investment opportunities. The delegation toured the South Free Zone and Gwadar Port, where they engaged in high-level discussions with officials from the Gwadar Port Authority.

During the meeting, the importance of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) Phase 2 project was highlighted as a key driver for the success of Gwadar Port. The Chairman of the Gwadar Port Authority emphasized the critical role of industrial cooperation between China and Pakistan, noting that the implementation of large-scale projects will bring about an economic revolution in the region, generating significant employment and business opportunities for the people of Balochistan.

The delegation expressed their appreciation for the initiatives undertaken, acknowledging the strong assurances provided by the Pakistani authorities. They noted that these efforts are expected to play a crucial role in enabling Pakistan to address future challenges effectively.
