Qambrani highlighted the Gwadar smart port city's master plan, designed to establish a robust industrial base. Furthermore, Qambrani shared the promising news that Gwadar's international airport, a joint venture with China, is on track to become operational by 2023, accelerating the district's development.
Hassan Daud Butt, a senior advisor at the China Study Center of SDPI, emphasized how Pakistan's partnership with China on the CPEC and their united efforts against COVID-19 have accelerated Pakistan's technological advancement. He stressed the need for Pakistan to prepare itself to harness the opportunities emerging from China's efforts to create a favorable business and economic environment.
Additionally, Sajid Amin, the deputy executive director at SDPI, noted the pivotal role that the development sector and civil society organizations can play as knowledge partners and advocates for Gwadar's vast socio-economic potential.
