Inauguration of Gwadar University

Gwadar University officially commenced its operations as an independent institution on October 25, 2021, following the appointment of its Vice Chancellor by the Governor of Balochistan. Transitioning from a Sub Campus of the University of Turbat, the institution underwent a significant transformation to become Gwadar University.

The esteemed Governor of Balochistan, in Order No. SGB/2-1 /UoG/2021/2108-15, appointed Prof. Dr. Abdul Razzaq Sabir as the inaugural Vice Chancellor on the historic day of October 25, 2021. Taking charge on October 29, 2021, Dr. Abdul Razzaq Sabir embarked on the journey to lead Gwadar University to new heights.

Originally known as UoT's Gwadar Campus, the University initiated its academic pursuits in January 2017, operating from a section of the Govt. Boys Degree College Gwadar building. Gwadar University is proud to offer four distinguished BS programs in Management Sciences (BBA), Computer Science (BSIT), Education (B.Ed. Hons), and Commerce (BS Commerce), reflecting its commitment to providing quality education in the region.
