The discussions emphasized avenues for deeper cooperation in the energy and mineral sectors, reflecting the shared commitment to economic growth and regional stability.
Minister Malik formally extended an invitation to China for the upcoming Pakistan Mineral Investment Forum (PMIF) 2026, highlighting mining as a priority sector with substantial potential for bilateral collaboration. In response, Ambassador Jiang welcomed the invitation and assured participation of senior officials from relevant Chinese institutions.

The ambassador emphasized that mining and energy are key areas of ongoing China-Pakistan collaboration, noting the active presence of Chinese companies such as MCC and CNOC in Pakistan’s petroleum and mineral sectors.
