Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal has emphasized that the launch of CPEC 2.0 will take Pakistan-China cooperation to greater heights. Speaking during his visit to Tianjin, China, he underlined that the new phase opens avenues for deeper strategic and economic collaboration.
According to the minister, the second phase of CPEC provides vast opportunities to enhance Pakistan’s ports, renewable energy, and livestock sectors, which are vital for long-term development. He further noted that Pakistan is committed to broadening cooperation in agricultural biotechnology, ensuring the country benefits from Chinese advancements in technology and expertise.
Ahsan Iqbal highlighted that CPEC 2.0 will serve as a platform to modernize key sectors while reinforcing Pakistan’s partnership with China.
