China-Pakistan Partnership: Key Discussions with PM Shehbaz


Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has engaged in significant discussions with Chinese Premier Li Qiang, highlighting the strong bond between Pakistan and China. In a recent post on the social media platform X, PM Sharif expressed satisfaction regarding the progress of crucial initiatives under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). Both leaders agreed on the importance of ensuring timely execution of these projects.

During their talks, the Prime Minister emphasized the need to enhance collaboration across various sectors, including trade, investment, economy, energy, agriculture, information technology, and defense. They also touched upon vital issues related to regional peace and security, recognizing their strategic partnership as essential for stability and prosperity in the area.

Furthermore, Shehbaz Sharif presided over the completion ceremony of the New Gwadar International Airport, a pivotal step in strengthening bilateral ties. The event included the exchange of significant memoranda of understanding (MoUs) aimed at boosting cooperation across diverse fields. In closing, he reiterated the enduring friendship between Pakistan and China, stating, “Long live Pakistan-China friendship!”
