The New Gwadar International Airport (NGIA) is now fully operational, efficiently managing both domestic and international flights.
Despite misleading claims by Western media regarding NGIA’s success, official reports highlight its steady growth. From January 20 to February 26, 2025, the airport handled 42 flights, serving 1,537 passengers.
Domestic flights operate three days a week—Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Flight data shows 14 trips between Gwadar and Karachi, carrying 542 passengers to Karachi and 493 passengers back.
On the international front, seven flights from Gwadar to Muscat transported 299 passengers, while 203 passengers returned to Gwadar via the same route.
The airport administration continues to enhance operations, reinforcing NGIA as a crucial hub for regional connectivity under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).
