Prime Minister Imran Khan is set to make a significant visit to Gwadar later this week, where he will participate in the Gwadar Expo 2019. This event, scheduled for March 29, will also witness the groundbreaking ceremony for the impressive Gwadar International Airport.
Chinese diplomat Lijian Zhao shared this exciting news, emphasizing the Prime Minister's engagement in these pivotal developments. The Gwadar International Airport is hailed as Pakistan's largest airport to date, designed to accommodate a range of aircraft, including ATR 72, Airbus (A-300), Boeing (B-737), and Boeing (B-747), serving both domestic and international routes.
In February, Minister for Planning, Development, and Reform Makhdum Khusro Bakhtyar expressed the government's unwavering commitment to Gwadar's development. He announced that several groundbreaking ceremonies, including those for the Gwadar power plant, New International Airport, vocational institute, and hospital, are slated for March. Additionally, the finalization of Gwadar's master plan is on the horizon, signaling a transformative period for the city.
