GWADAR – The "Light Up Gwadar" project has officially been launched to improve nighttime visibility and safety in key public areas, according to our sources. Spearheaded by the Chinese Consulate General in Karachi, the project aims to enhance lighting in vital public facilities such as hospitals and schools.
As part of the initiative, 73 solar-powered streetlights were installed by Chinese-funded enterprises. These lights are now fully operational and illuminate five crucial locations in Gwadar: the fishing pier, waterfront promenade boat berths, the seaward exit of the East Bay Expressway, and the local hospital. This effort marks a significant step towards enhancing the safety and well-being of Gwadar’s residents.
