Study in China: Scholarships for Pakistani Students Announced

China has launched its scholarships program for the academic year 2025-26, inviting students from Pakistan and Azad Jammu & Kashmir (AJK) to pursue undergraduate, masters, and doctoral degrees at Chinese universities. The program is managed by the Chinese Scholarship Council (CSC) under the Ministry of Education, People’s Republic of China, and administered locally by Pakistan's Higher Education Commission (HEC).

Applicants must submit their online applications on the China Scholarship Council’s portal under Category A (Agency No. 5861) via Campuschina.org. Simultaneously, applications must be completed on the HEC portal by December 9, 2024, before 4:00 PM (PST).

Eligibility criteria include valid HAT or USAT scores (minimum 50/100), academic qualifications specific to the program applied for, and age limits ranging from 25 for undergraduate to 40 for PhD programs. Applicants must also meet the specific admission criteria of their chosen universities, including language proficiency, and must not hold dual nationality or other scholarships.

The scholarship provides tuition coverage, health insurance, and accommodation, along with a stipend under the Chinese Government Scholarship policy. Interested candidates can register and apply at scholarship.hec.gov.pk by selecting the “Learning Opportunities Abroad” option. Ensure the application is signed and submitted within the deadline.
