The final group of 34 students enrolled in TEVTA Punjab’s Dual Diploma Program has officially departed for China, marking the completion of the second outgoing batch, according to Gwadar Pro. Earlier, 36 students had already reached China, and together the full cohort will now undertake the third and final year of their Diploma of Associate Engineering (DAE) studies at top-tier Chinese technical institutions.
At the airport, SDG Akhtar Abbas Bharwana, representing the TEVTA Chairman, bid farewell to the departing students. He was joined by Engr. Muhammad Usman Ali, Regional Director North, TEVTA institute representatives, and officials from TANG China. Bharwana extended the Chairman’s well-wishes to the students and assured their families that TEVTA would continue providing complete support throughout their stay abroad.
He emphasized that TEVTA maintains ongoing communication with students, parents, and Chinese partner institutions to ensure smooth implementation of the program and long-term academic success.
The initiative—developed under a strategic agreement between TEVTA Punjab and the Shenzhen Institute of Information Technology (SIIT)—follows a structured three-year curriculum. Students spend their first two years in Pakistan and complete their final year of specialized training in China. The program offers advanced instruction in key disciplines such as mechatronics, software engineering, textile technology, and advanced construction technology.
Previous batches have already returned after successfully completing their studies, demonstrating the program’s impact and effectiveness. Engr. Muhammad Usman Ali noted that the initiative equips Pakistani students with modern technical skills that significantly improve their employability, particularly in sectors linked to CPEC development and international industry requirements.
