Pakistan and China have formalised three new Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) designed to expand cooperation in agriculture, vocational education, and environmental sustainability. The signing ceremony was held in Shanghai on Tuesday, with President Asif Ali Zardari attending alongside First Lady Bibi Aseefa Bhutto Zardari, Chairman Pakistan People’s Party Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, and Senator Saleem Mandviwalla.
The first MoU introduces a Controlled Agriculture Science and Education Park in Pakistan, aiming to improve farming productivity, adopt modern techniques, and reinforce food security.
The second agreement is a tripartite initiative to establish Shennong College, a vocational training institute dedicated to equipping Pakistani farmers with advanced agricultural knowledge and integrated technology for improved output.
The third MoU addresses environmental concerns through a Tyre Recycling Project, focusing on sustainable waste management and promoting eco-friendly development.
These developments reflect the enduring partnership between Pakistan and China, with both nations reaffirming their commitment to agricultural advancement, skill development, and green innovation.
