In the years 2002-2003, General Parvez Musharraf, then President of Pakistan, placed a strategic emphasis on advancing the human and natural resources of the nation, with a special focus on Balochistan. In response, Prime Minister Mir Zafarullah Khan Jamali appointed a panel of experts to evaluate the educational and vocational necessities of the youth in Gwadar and across Balochistan.
This committee was tasked with conducting a comprehensive situational analysis, determining the future requirements for vocational, technical, and higher education. It aimed to address the specific needs of the region, with a keen focus on the Gwadar Deep Seaport, and also examined emerging technologies to align educational offerings with future demands.
