Addressing the 9th CPEC Media Forum, Lin highlighted the participants’ appreciation of CPEC’s development achievements and the importance of closer collaboration between Chinese and Pakistani media. The forum, held on December 24th, was hosted by the Chinese Embassy in Pakistan and organized by China Economic Net and the Pakistan-China Institute, drawing senior officials, media representatives, and think tanks from both countries.
The event, conducted in a hybrid “online + offline” format with around 200 participants, focused on the theme “Strengthening Media Cooperation to Promote the ‘2.0 Upgraded Version’ of the China–Pakistan Economic Corridor.” Discussions revolved around enhancing bilateral media collaboration amid the current international landscape.
Both sides agreed on the crucial role of media as “messengers” of friendship, emphasizing the need to tell the stories of China-Pakistan cooperation, highlight bilateral achievements, counter misinformation, and contribute to advancing the upgraded CPEC 2.0. Lin reaffirmed that China and Pakistan, as strategic cooperative partners, are committed to building an even closer China-Pakistan community with a shared future in the new era.
