Deputy PM Highlights Pakistan-China Party-to-Party Relations


Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar held a high-level meeting with Sun Haiyan, Vice Minister of the International Department of the Communist Party of China, on Thursday, highlighting the strong partnership between Pakistan and China.

According to a spokesperson from the Foreign Office, the discussions covered key areas including bilateral relations, regional developments, and matters of mutual interest, reflecting the depth and resilience of the longstanding partnership.

During the meeting, Deputy Prime Minister Dar acknowledged the significant role of the Communist Party of China in further enhancing Pakistan–China friendship. Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to maintain the momentum of high-level engagements, ensuring that cooperation continues to strengthen across political and strategic levels.

The officials also agreed to deepen party-to-party cooperation, emphasising initiatives that promote stronger bilateral ties. Cultural cooperation emerged as a key focus, with plans to expand academic collaborations, youth interactions, and cultural programmes designed to foster greater understanding between the peoples of Pakistan and China.

This meeting underscores the ongoing efforts of both nations to build a comprehensive partnership that spans diplomacy, culture, and strategic collaboration, reinforcing the enduring “iron-clad” friendship between Pakistan and China.
