Federal Minister for National Food Security and Research, Rana Tanveer Hussain, and Chinese Ambassador Mr. Jiang Zaidong visited Pir Mehar Ali Shah Arid Agriculture University to bolster agricultural cooperation between Pakistan and China.
The visit included a comprehensive briefing on the progress of the China-Pakistan Research and Development Center for Modern Agriculture and Water Efficient Technologies. The guests inspected vital facilities, such as exhibition halls, training centers, laboratories, and the sprinkler irrigation demonstration site, showcasing innovations in agriculture.
In a bilateral meeting, the dignitaries discussed the advancement of training for 1,000 agricultural professionals and the expansion of contract farming initiatives in Pakistan by Chinese enterprises.
