During the inaugural session of the Pakistan-China Business and Investment Forum in Islamabad, Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan, Nong Rong, emphasized the evolution of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) towards a high-quality development strategy, encompassing industrial, agricultural, technological, and socio-economic collaboration. Notably, he highlighted Chinese investments in various projects, such as the construction of a 150-acre textile industrial zone in Lahore, backed by a substantial $150 million investment.
Ambassador Nong Rong also underscored China's commitment to supporting Pakistan during challenging times, citing a generous donation of 644 million RMB for flood relief efforts. Furthermore, he announced additional assistance from the Chinese government during Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif's forthcoming visit to Beijing, aimed at aiding Pakistan in overcoming the flood-related challenges it faces.
