Beijing Hosts CPEC Entrepreneurs Forum: Enhancing China-Pakistan Industrial Cooperation

Over 100 Chinese companies and 50 Pakistani enterprises convened at the "CPEC Entrepreneurs Forum" to boost industrial cooperation within the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), a flagship project of the Belt and Road Initiative. This event, jointly organized by the National Defence University, 'Obortunity Consulting, and ICarbon', a Chinese firm, aimed to foster collaboration.

Distinguished officials from the Pakistani Embassy in Beijing, the National Development Reforms Commission (NDRC), the Ministry of Commerce in China, CCPIT, and both state-owned and private enterprises attended the forum.

The CPEC Entrepreneurs Forum forms an integral part of the 2.5-week International CPEC Workshop, spanning Islamabad, Beijing, and Gwadar, designed to engage the business community in the second phase of CPEC.

An important milestone was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Obortunity Consulting and the China Council for Promotion of International Trade. This MoU paves the way for an annual investment and trade exhibition under the Belt and Road Initiative, to be hosted alternately in Pakistan and China.

Additionally, numerous MoUs were inked between Pakistani and Chinese companies across various sectors, further solidifying their collaborative efforts.
