Notably, the Government of Sindh proposed the "Karachi Urban Mobility Project (Yellow Line)," a mammoth undertaking valued at 61,436.00 million rupees. This visionary initiative aims to transform Karachi's transportation landscape, offering enhanced mobility solutions to its residents. Minister Bakhtyar emphasized the alignment of this endeavor with the Federal Government's commitment to urban development and sustainable growth.
Furthermore, another vital project from the Government of Sindh, the "Karachi Water & Sewerage Services Improvement Project Phase-1," worth 14,729.27 million rupees, was also recommended to ECNEC. This initiative seeks to bolster the capacity of the Karachi Water & Sewerage Board, ensuring improved water and sanitation services for the city's populace.
In the realm of transportation infrastructure, the Ministry of Maritime Affairs introduced the "Construction of Expressway on East Bay of Gwadar Port (Revised)" project, valued at 17,369.84 million rupees. This ambitious endeavor envisions an 18.98 km four-lane expressway, connecting Gwadar Port with the Makran Coastal Highway, Free Zone, and future container terminals, thus fostering economic growth.
The Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, too, made a significant contribution with the "KP Irrigated Agriculture Improvement Project," amounting to 30,048.747 million rupees. This project, recommended to ECNEC, aims to enhance agricultural productivity in the region.
Additionally, the Ministry of National Health, Services, Regulation & Coordination secured approval for the "Up-gradation of Gastroenterology Department/Replacement of Equipment for advanced Liver and GI diseases, PIMS, Islamabad," worth 385.135 million rupees, a testament to their commitment to healthcare advancements.
Lastly, two position papers, "Construction of Delay Action Dams in Balochistan-Package III" and "Lahore Garment City," each valued at 716.63 million rupees, received the green light for further processing, signifying their importance in the broader development landscape.
