In the past decade, the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) has witnessed a remarkable influx of investment, with a staggering $25.4 billion pouring in from China.
As per a high-ranking official from the Chinese Foreign Ministry, the collaborative landscape that has evolved over this period is structured around four pivotal domains: Gwadar Port, transportation infrastructure, energy initiatives, and industrial cooperation.
Within the framework of CPEC, a noteworthy 192,000 employment opportunities have blossomed, ushering in a wave of economic prosperity. This progress has also resulted in the generation of an impressive 6,000 megawatts of electricity, the construction of 510 kilometers of highways, and a significant expansion of the core national transmission network by an additional 886 kilometers.
