Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Pakistan, Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, held an important meeting with Liu Haixing, Minister of the International Department of the Communist Party of China (CPC), in Beijing today.
The high-level discussion focused on strengthening party-to-party exchanges, reviewing regional developments, and assessing progress on multiple initiatives under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). Both sides expressed satisfaction over the steady and forward-looking trajectory of bilateral relations, highlighting the growing strategic partnership between the two countries.

During the meeting, Ishaq Dar and Liu Haixing agreed to jointly commemorate the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Pakistan and China in a meaningful and befitting manner. The leaders emphasised the importance of sustaining momentum in bilateral cooperation across economic, political, and cultural spheres.
Additionally, DPM Ishaq Dar congratulated Minister Liu on the successful convening of the 4th Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee, reflecting shared respect for each nation’s internal governance and leadership achievements. The dialogue reaffirmed Pakistan and China’s commitment to deepening collaboration, strengthening mutual trust, and advancing projects under the CPEC framework that are vital for regional connectivity and development.
