LCCI Empowers Members for Pakistan-China Trade with Mandarin Training

Over 110 members of the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) have successfully completed a two-month Mandarin language course designed to enhance Pakistan-China business collaboration.

During the certificate distribution ceremony on Tuesday, Chinese Consul General Zhao Shiren emphasized the importance of mastering Chinese for Pakistani entrepreneurs. He described the language as a gateway not only to communication but also to understanding Chinese culture, accessing economic opportunities, and strengthening bilateral engagement under the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI).

Zhao highlighted that China’s ongoing reforms and growing role in global markets present new avenues for Pakistani businesses. He referenced the outcomes of the 4th Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee, noting that these reforms could open additional channels for cooperation and investment. He encouraged LCCI members to remain updated on China’s evolving economic landscape to capitalize on emerging opportunities.

LCCI President Faheem-ur-Rehman Saigol underlined that the Chamber will continue to organize initiatives that equip members with critical language and business skills required for global competitiveness. He added that these programs demonstrate LCCI’s ongoing commitment to fostering Pakistan-China economic relations while providing meaningful support to its members.

The ceremony was attended by LCCI Senior Vice President Tanveer Ahmed Sheikh, Vice President Khurram Lodhi, and executive committee members. The event concluded with the presentation of certificates to the participants, marking the successful completion of the Mandarin cohort.
