Pak-China Job Fair Bridges Skills and Builds Futures


The inaugural China-Pakistan Job Fair 2025 unfolded at the Pak-China Friendship Centre, marking a pivotal milestone in empowering Pakistan's youth through skill-based employment and international collaboration. With the theme “Bridging Skills; Building Futures,” the event focused on aligning education with industry demands while deepening bilateral cooperation between Pakistan and China.

Minister of State for Federal Education and Professional Training, Wajiha Qamar, emphasized the transformative spirit of the event, stating, “This is not just a job fair—it’s a declaration that Pakistan’s youth are not merely job-seekers but future-makers.” She lauded China’s consistent support, highlighting the deep-rooted partnership as one of familial solidarity rather than transactional diplomacy.

Jointly hosted by the China Chamber of Commerce in Pakistan (CCCPK) and the National Vocational and Technical Training Commission (NAVTTC), the event welcomed senior government representatives, business leaders, academic institutions, and hundreds of talented graduates. More than 22 top-tier Chinese enterprises from diverse sectors—including energy, IT, logistics, construction, and manufacturing—participated, offering over 500 career opportunities, training placements, and advancement programs.

CCCPK Chairman Wang Huihua spotlighted the active role of Chinese enterprises in Pakistan’s industrial growth, noting their contribution of over 30,000 jobs for Pakistani citizens so far, with ongoing initiatives in mentorship and technical training.

Yang Guangyuan, Minister Counselor of the Chinese Embassy in Islamabad, hailed the fair as a new chapter in the CPEC journey. He reiterated the importance of Pakistan's youth, calling them the nation’s greatest asset. “Through shared strengths, we can carve out a future that benefits both nations,” he affirmed.

NAVTTC Chairperson Gulmina Bilal Ahmad echoed this sentiment, stating that skilled training is the master key to development. She credited Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif for steering NAVTTC toward building a job-ready workforce with tangible employment outcomes.

Following the speeches, dignitaries toured the job fair, engaging with representatives of Chinese firms showcasing career pathways that promise not only jobs, but futures shaped by skill, cooperation, and opportunity.
