The agreement is designed to deepen cooperation on mineral extraction and processing in Balochistan, Pakistan’s resource-rich southwestern region. As part of the MoU, the two companies will form a joint venture, tentatively named Pak-Handar Mining Services and Management Company, to provide mining services, invest in resource extraction projects, and modernize mineral processing operations.
Guangdong Handar will bring technical expertise and management support, while SMC will leverage its local networks and assets to ensure smooth operations and compliance. The MoU was officially signed in Guangzhou by former Senate chairman Muhammad Sadiq Sanjrani, chairman of SMC, and Liang Fa, rotating general manager of Guangdong Handar.
This collaboration marks a significant step in strengthening Pakistan-China industrial ties, supporting Balochistan’s economic development, and introducing advanced mining technologies to the region.
