In a significant development aimed at enhancing bilateral industrial cooperation, Precise Development (Hong Kong) Limited and The University of Lahore (UOL) have jointly launched the "Pakistan-China Industrial Entrepreneur Bridge." This newly established Center of Excellence marks a major step forward in promoting economic collaboration and innovation between Pakistan and China.
As reported by Gwadar Pro, the center will function as a key gateway for industry leaders and business communities from both nations, creating direct channels of engagement and mutual growth. Pakistani industries now have streamlined access to leading Chinese trade organizations, including the All China Federation of Industry and Commerce (ACFIC), the Chamber of Commerce for High Technology and Equipment Industry, the New Energy Operations Committee of China, the Electricity Equipment Management Association, and the China Jinhua (Yiwu) Wenzhou General Chamber of Commerce.
The initiative aims to facilitate dynamic partnerships between enterprises and academic institutions from both countries in a wide range of high-impact sectors such as renewable energy, agri-tech, healthcare, mining, vocational training, digital economy, tourism, culture, and human resource development.
David Chu, CEO of Precise Development (Hong Kong) Limited, and Awais Raoof, Chairman of the Board of Governors at UOL, signed the agreement to launch this initiative. According to Khalid Taimur Akram, Director for the Eurasian Region at Precise Development, the Entrepreneur Bridge will be a catalyst for sustainable development, innovation, technology transfer, and trade expansion under the broader vision of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).
Additionally, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between Precise Development and Bank Makramah Limited to ensure streamlined financial support for Chinese investments in Pakistan. This will simplify transactions and promote cross-border economic cooperation.
To further strengthen this partnership, a high-profile Chinese business delegation visited Islamabad from April 28 to May 4. The group, comprising senior executives from more than a dozen companies, engaged with top Pakistani officials to explore ventures in sectors like high-tech manufacturing, smart technologies, renewable energy, mining, aviation, and satellite communications.
