Pakistan’s home textile exports to China have seen a substantial rise in 2025, increasing by 31% year-on-year and reaching $4.36 million between January and September, up from $3.32 million in the same period last year. Data from the General Administration of Customs of China (GACC) highlights a growing appetite in the Chinese market for Pakistan’s premium textile products.

The export basket included a variety of home textile items such as cotton bed sheets, blankets, and printed cotton bed linen, showcasing Pakistan’s strong production base and export quality. Among these, printed cotton bed-linen (not knitted or crocheted) was the top-performing category, nearly doubling from $0.849 million in 2024 to $1.577 million in the first nine months of 2025.
According to GACC data, Pakistan exported 190,463 kilograms of printed cotton bed-linen (HS code 63022190), maintaining its position as the top exporter in this segment, followed by Bangladesh, which recorded exports worth $1.12 million.
In addition, blankets and traveling rugs of cotton witnessed impressive growth, rising from $0.018 million in 2024 to $0.353 million in 2025. Similarly, cotton bed sheets (not knitted, crocheted, printed, or embroidered) recorded steady progress, increasing from $0.406 million to $0.544 million, indicating sustained demand for Pakistan’s textile goods in China.
Industry experts link this upward trend to enhanced production capacity, improved quality control, and expanded market access under the China-Pakistan Free Trade Agreement (CPFTA). Pakistan’s zero-tariff advantage under CPFTA has further strengthened its competitive edge in the Chinese market, allowing exporters to capitalize on the rising demand for high-quality, affordable textile products.
