PM Shehbaz Sharif Hails Accelerated Progress in Pak-China Cooperation under CPEC

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif emphasized the rapid progress of the second phase of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) during a meeting with a group of journalists in Lahore today. The delegation, comprising seven journalists who recently visited China at the invitation of the China Public Diplomacy Association, shared their insights on the evolving Pak-China relationship.

The Prime Minister underscored his personal oversight of the Memorandums of Understanding and agreements signed during his recent visit to Beijing, noting significant advancements in bilateral cooperation across various sectors following the visit of Chinese experts to Pakistan. He assured that all necessary measures are being implemented to ensure the security of Chinese nationals working in the country.

Highlighting the enduring bond between Pakistan and China, Shehbaz Sharif urged all political parties to set aside their differences and unite in support of nationally significant projects like CPEC. He reiterated his personal commitment to dedicating his efforts to Pakistan’s development whenever entrusted with the opportunity.

The Prime Minister expressed his heartfelt appreciation to the Chinese leadership and people for their warm hospitality during his visit. The journalists, including representatives from Dunya News, Hum News, Jang, Dawn News, Geo News, and Pakistan Television, praised the government’s pro-business and investment-friendly policies under Shehbaz Sharif’s leadership. They conveyed the Chinese officials' satisfaction with the pace of CPEC projects, frequently mentioning the term "Shehbaz Speed" to describe the Prime Minister's dynamic approach to governance.
