Gwadar’s Pak-China Vocational Institute Sees Rise in 2026 Admissions


The Pak-China Technical and Vocational Institute (PCTVI) in Gwadar has enrolled 416 students for its 2026 academic batch, reflecting a steady increase in admissions at the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC)-linked training centre. According to institute data, classes for the new intake are scheduled to commence on January 15.

Of the total enrolments, 206 students have joined three-month certificate programmes focusing on in-demand skills such as office automation, Python programming, mobile application development, e-commerce, web development, graphic design, and artificial intelligence. These short-term courses are designed to provide rapid, job-oriented training aligned with evolving industry requirements.

Meanwhile, 123 students have enrolled in one-year diploma programmes in English, Chinese, and artificial intelligence, while another 87 students are pursuing three-year diploma courses in fields including e-commerce, tourism management, maritime port management, mathematics, and software technology.

Since its establishment, PCTVI has produced 258 graduates across various disciplines. The institute said it continues to expand its academic offerings to meet labour market needs, with programmes now covering maritime and port management, software technology, tourism management, e-commerce, mechatronics, Chinese and English languages, artificial intelligence, construction engineering, and overhead crane operation. By the end of 2025, 77 students had successfully completed their diploma programmes.
