Pakistan and China have joined forces to construct a cutting-edge medical complex in Gwadar, valued at $100 million, as part of the transformative China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) initiative.

This groundbreaking initiative is backed by the Chinese government and will span 68 acres of land, aiming to provide high-quality healthcare services to the residents of Gwadar. The project's Phase-II involves the development of a 50-bed hospital, in alignment with the Gwadar Development Authority's (GDA) Business Plan under the Federal PSDP.

Commenced in 2020, the project is scheduled for completion by December 2022, with one of the six medical blocks already finished. The forthcoming phases of the project will encompass additional medical blocks, nursing and paramedical institutes, a medical college, central laboratory, and various related facilities, all equipped with state-of-the-art medical apparatus and machinery. This collaborative endeavor holds great promise for the region's healthcare landscape.
